The art show collected the work of seven Bolivian and five foreign pottery artists who displayed a diverse range of techniques and proposals centered on a common element – clay –, ranging from the abstract to the figurative. Pottery is related to the transformation of clay through diverse elements such as fire and air: thus, its final result is always unpredictable and unique. All its components come together to express the inner world of each pottery artist.
The exhibit also included the work of Reynaldo Urioste, an important pottery artist from Chuquisaca who died in 2002, leaving behind a significant contribution to Bolivian sculpture.
