Andrés Unterladstaetter

September 2011

Caminante son tus huellas el camino y nada más. (Traveler, your footsteps are the road): Antonio Machado’s words, as sung by Joan Manuel Serrat, moved Andres Unterladstaetter to perpetuate moments of his life through images, snapshots revealing a part of his childhood and adolescence, focused on the idea of the constant and never ending journey between field and country. With nothing but a camera as a travel companion, the journey led him through Bolivia’s varied geography and allowed him to see diverse faces, colors and flavors in the region. The photographs on display reflect his experience during his travels.
