Manzana 1 paid homage to Tito Kuramotto with a retrospective exhibit that brought together a selection of his works developed throughout his 50 years of professional career.

Not only is he one of the most prolific artists of the national art scene and an icon of Bolivian art; Kuramotto, who began his career at the age of fifteen, has a heterogeneous oeuvre that has explored and developed together with the history of Santa Cruz.

This retrospective exhibit allowed the public understand how an artist develops throughout time and to discover, through Kuramotto’s landscapes and portraits, his amazing perception of the nuances of local idiosyncrasies and their immediate visual representations.
